This is what we do!
The Signal is a network of online videos, audio podcasts,
blogs, articles, and postings to social media, meant to entertain and enlighten. Our purpose is to create meaningful
media that the audience will enjoy and benefit from. The Signal is an attempt to leverage the digital tools of
existing and emerging technologies to create a professional media network
distributed to audiences across the Internet. The Signal has its roots in Communication Studies, Film,
Television, Art, Photography, Music Video, Cultural Studies, and Broadcast
History.
We are staffed by a group of creative content producers who
live and breathe media. We honor
the history and traditions of the old media that we were raised on through
the medium of the new. We create
to answer the visceral urge for self-expression. Our team is made up of Artists, Scholars, Authors,
Educators, Filmmakers, and Journalists, who were all raised in the glow of the
cathode ray.
The Signal is message and messenger delivered across the
global network. The Signal is Edutainment; to entertain and educate. The Signal is self-expression. We create content because we think we have
something important to say. We have
united for a shared goal; an attempt to benefit society and entertain through our
creative work. We hope to add to
the vast archive of human knowledge with our endeavors. Our staff is driven to create because,
quite simply, this is what we do.
